Get your hands on now! When Vasque launched the original Skywalk in 1984, it was amazingly light for a legit backpacking boot, yet still extremely durable and supportive. Plus, thanks in part to multiple widths, it didn’t fit or feel like a clunky old waffle stomper—endearing it to a generation of hikers. Nevertheless, Vasque discontinued the mid-weight boot after two decades, when the market swung toward fast-and-light footwear.
They came back in the 2000's and now are discontinued again and that will be your last chance to get a hold of the Skywalker model. At Charlie's Corner, you have them! Limited sizes!
The Skywalk GTX logged as many miles in the 1980s as any boot, establishing the benchmark for a mixed upper, lightweight rig. For its contemporary incarnation Vasque started with rough-out leather, tanned right here in the U.S. They blended that with abrasion resistant, breathable nylon mesh. The Gore-Tex waterproof breathable lining manages the Skywalk's internal climate, while a Vasque Pyrenees sole keeps you firmly on the trail. Old school meets Vasque... in the Skywalk GTX.
